Weekly Rehearsals 

The Essex Concert Band holds weekly rehearsals every Tuesday evening at Rowhedge Village Hall, located just outside Colchester.

Rehearsals begin promptly at 7:30pm and run for approximately two hours, including a short refreshment break halfway through. It’s a relaxed and friendly atmosphere where we work on a wide range of music from our current repertoire.

Band Membership 

The Essex Concert Band often has vacancies for new members and welcomes enquiries from musicians interested in joining.

We aim for a high standard of performance, typically suited to players of Grade 6 ABRSM level or above, though equivalent experience is also considered.

Where vacancies exist, players are usually invited to attend a few rehearsals on a trial basis, with membership offered at the discretion of the Musical Director.

Membership is by subscription (£15/month), which helps cover rehearsal and running costs.
